🌙Night of Serenity: A Spiritual Gathering for Unity and Prayer

In light of the ongoing crisis in Gaza, The Night of Serenity: Blessing and Harmony program

was held on the 18th of October, 2023 at no other than our Cafe Mahallah Zaid bin Harithah.

This very much needed event, organized by IIUMSU in collaboration with the IIUM Da’wah

Council (IDC), brought together an estimation of 150 students and more to gather and pray

together for Allah’s mercy, good health, and well-being. The evening was filled with a Yassin

recitation session, Solat Isyak and Solat Hajat berjemaah, with a special focus on praying for

Aman Palestine and showing solidarity with our brothers and sisters in Gaza. Participants came

dressed in the colors of the Palestinian flag—green, white, black, and red—holding placards and

chanting, creating a powerful display of support and unity that filled the café with positive

energy. The main goal of this event was to seek blessings from our Creator and to strengthen the

ukhuwwah among MZH residents as fellow Muslims. Alhamdulillah, the Night of Serenity

(NiSe) was a huge success as one of our first programs. We were truly honored for the

overwhelming support and unity shown by the students and the committee members. It was with

their heartfelt chants of the students and staffs that made the program meaningful. With this, we

extend our prayers to the brothers and sisters in Gaza who still continue to endure these

challenging times to this day.
